The Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has stated that media reports claiming that allegations of abuse and mistreatment of Ukrainian children in the city were being "covered up" do not reflect the truth. The statement emphasized that the allegations are being investigated carefully, that some cases have been filed, and that the processes are being followed meticulously.

The statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office indicated that the abuse allegations regarding Ukrainian children brought to Antalya due to the war in Ukraine have not been ignored in any way and that the process is being followed with sensitivity.

THE PROCESS IS ONGOING

In the statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that the trial conducted by the Antalya Juvenile High Criminal Court regarding the abuse of a 17-year-old Ukrainian girl is ongoing under case file number 2025/215. Information regarding the filing of a public lawsuit concerning the incident was also included.

ALL REPORTS ARE BEING FOLLOWED SERIOUSLY

The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office stated that every report submitted by the Ministry of Family and Social Services is evaluated without delay. It was noted that upon the criminal complaint filed by the Ministry, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office immediately launched an investigation, and every report is being evaluated and investigated in accordance with legal procedures.

Furthermore, it was emphasized that any report regarding children who are victims of war is being carefully evaluated in terms of age, date, and all aspects of the incident. The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office also shared information that judicial processes regarding parties abroad are continuing through international judicial assistance (letters rogatory) to determine whether there are any complaints regarding the incidents.
