Statement on minimum wage from BBP leader Destici, partner of the People's Alliance: 'It should be determined twice'

Great Unity Party (BBP) Chairman Mustafa Destici advocated for the minimum wage to be determined twice a year.

Destici, speaking at a press conference held at his party's headquarters regarding the massacres in Gaza, stated, "The Islamic world must unite. While the US and international organizations remain silent, Turkey has announced that it is ready to take responsibility, including acting as a guarantor. Turkey will continue its struggle to ensure lasting peace."

LOWEST PENSION

Emphasizing that the grievances of retirees must be addressed urgently, Destici said, "The lowest pension should be brought to the level of the minimum wage."

Speaking about the minimum wage, Destici added, "Until inflation falls to single digits, the minimum wage should continue to be determined twice a year, in January and July."

Destici also stated that preparations for the local elections are ongoing, saying, "The Great Unity Party has the power and capability to field candidates in all 81 provinces, 922 districts, and 390 towns, for all 1,392 municipalities and their associated municipal council memberships and provincial general assembly memberships."
