Statement on Narin from Justice Minister Tunç

In his statement, Minister Tunç included the following remarks:

The investigation conducted by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the murder of our child Narin Güran, which has deeply saddened us all, is continuing in a multi-faceted and meticulous manner.

The interrogation of the suspects currently in custody as part of the investigation is ongoing.

All evidence and findings obtained to identify those who caused or were involved in the death of our daughter Narin are being evaluated and examined with great care and sensitivity.

It should not be forgotten that, for the integrity of the investigation, proceedings during the investigation phase are confidential in accordance with Article 157 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CMK).

Within the scope of the public's right to information, updates regarding the investigation process will continue to be shared by our official authorities in an open and transparent manner, while also taking into account Article 157 of the CMK.

It has been observed that some media outlets and social media platforms have included statements containing disinformation that could harm the confidentiality of the investigation.

Everyone must act sensitively to ensure the investigation is conducted effectively and that the material truth is revealed.

Let no one have any doubt!

Those who brutally murdered our child Narin will be brought to justice and held accountable.
