Storm alert in the Aegean Sea: Some ferry services cancelled
Due to a storm expected to affect the Aegean Sea, GESTAŞ has announced the cancellation of some ferry services on the Bozcaada and Gökçeada lines.
A severe storm expected to affect the northern Aegean Sea has negatively impacted maritime transport. GESTAŞ AŞ, which provides transport between the Dardanelles and the islands, announced that some services have been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
According to the announcement made by GESTAŞ:
The car ferry services scheduled for 22.00 from Bozcaada and 23.00 from Geyikli have been cancelled.
On the Kabatepe-Gökçeada line, the services at 09.00, 13.00, 17.00, and 21.00 from Kabatepe; and at 11.00, 15.00, and 19.00 from Gökçeada will not be able to operate.
GESTAŞ advised passengers to monitor the status of services and plan accordingly to avoid any inconvenience due to the cancellations. It was reported that services will resume once weather conditions return to normal.
