Storm speeds to reach 105 kilometers per hour

The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a warning, announcing that a full-scale storm with speeds reaching 105 kilometers per hour is expected in the Black Sea.

Storm speeds to reach 105 kilometers per hour

The Analysis and Forecasting Center of the General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a warning titled 'Storm expected in the Black Sea'.

The warning stated, "In the Western Black Sea, the wind is expected to blow from the west and southwest, and over time from the northwest, at force 7-9 (50-90 km/h) as a strong storm, and in some places at force 10 (105 km/h) as a full-scale storm, starting from the early hours of Saturday, December 22, in the east, and across the entire region from noon onwards.

The storm is expected to lose its effect in the morning hours of Sunday, December 23," the statement read.

EXPECTED TO LOSE EFFECT BY NOON

The warning text further stated, "In the Eastern Black Sea, the wind is expected to blow from the west and northwest at force 6-8 (50-75 km/h) as a storm, and at force 9 (90 km/h) as a strong storm in open waters, starting from the early hours of Saturday, December 22, in the west, and across the entire region from noon onwards.

The storm is expected to lose its effect by noon on Sunday, December 23," it said.

Citizens were also warned about the possibility of disruptions in transportation.
