Striking betting detail regarding Haluk Levent: 990 million TL betting allegation

The investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the Ahbap Association has reached another significant milestone. According to the latest information, new findings involving Haluk Levent have been obtained in the comprehensive investigation, which is being conducted with both cyber and financial aspects. It was reported that Levent was detained in an operation carried out by the Financial Crimes Investigation Bureau teams.

DETAILS OF THE ACCUSATIONS AND FINDINGS

Haluk Levent was detained on charges of 'violating the law on associations,' 'laundering assets derived from crime,' and 'membership in an organization.' Authorities stated that Levent intended to travel to Germany, but returned home upon learning of a travel ban, subsequently turned off his phones, traveled to Izmir, and was eventually caught and detained in Bursa. Levent has now been sent to Istanbul for questioning.

The investigation revealed that Haluk Levent placed a total of 990 million liras in bets between 2020 and 2026, losing 390 million liras during this period, and that 120 million liras were transferred from the Ahbap Association's account to his assistant, Yeliz Kaya. Examinations of the investigation file are continuing under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. A new statement from official authorities regarding the matter is expected in the coming hours.

In June, Haluk Levent was sentenced to a judicial fine of approximately 70 million TL in a case regarding the issuance of bounced checks, and the court had imposed a ban on him from issuing checks. At the time, the artist had claimed in a statement that the debts had been restructured into installments and that no one had been victimized. He had also announced that he would step down from his position due to health reasons once the financial audit process at Ahbap was completed.

TO BE QUESTIONED

Haluk Levent, who is currently in custody, is expected to provide his statement in Istanbul shortly regarding the accusations leveled against him.
