Structural engineer of apartment building destroyed in Hatay earthquake arrested
The static project engineer of the İnci Apartment in Hatay, where 5 people lost their lives after it collapsed in the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes, has been arrested.
The Hatay Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Earthquake Crimes Investigation Bureau continues its investigations into those found to have faults regarding deaths and injuries in buildings that collapsed during the February 6 earthquakes.
ARRESTED IN COURT
In this context, D.H.K., the static project engineer of the İnci Apartment in the Antakya district, where 5 people died due to its collapse, was taken into custody. The suspect was arrested by the criminal judgeship of peace to which he was referred.
Thus, the number of people arrested in the investigation has risen to 4.
OTHER RESPONSIBLE PARTIES HAD ALSO BEEN ARRESTED
R.A., the owner of the building inspection firm, A.Ş.Y., the firm's control personnel, and N.T., the implementation and project auditor, who were taken into custody regarding the collapse of the apartment in the February 6 earthquakes, had previously been arrested.
