Subscriptions to three newspapers cancelled in municipality that passed to CHP. Mayor announced on social media
In municipalities that changed hands after the local elections and passed to the CHP, restrictions are being placed on expenses and large-scale spending from previous terms. Kastamonu Municipality, which passed from the MHP to the CHP, has taken a similar step.
Kastamonu Municipality, which passed from the MHP to the CHP in the March 31 local elections, has terminated the contracts with three newspapers that the previous administration was subscribed to.
The subscription fee allocated for the newspapers was also shared, and the amount, which appeared to be quite high, drew attention.
Mayor Hasan Baltacı made the following post regarding the matter on his "X" account:

"Subscriptions to Yeni Şafak, Türkiye, and Sabah, for which an annual subscription fee of 426,230 TL was paid from our municipal budget, have been cancelled.
Local press subscriptions have also been taken under review to be re-evaluated."
