While services were suspended due to the incident, the following statement was made by Marmaray:
"Due to a distressing incident that occurred at the Marmaray Ayrılıkçeşmesi Station at approximately 15:30, our services are continuing with delays."

It is observed that suicide cases on the Marmaray have increased recently.
Regarding these incidents, it is noted that in the statements made from the official Marmaray X account, suicide attempts are referred to as 'distressing incidents'.
