Supplementary budget not enough for Diyanet! Here is the money spent in 10 months...

Budget data from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance has revealed the increase in institutional expenditures.

The Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) was granted a total appropriation of 36.1 billion TL this year through the Budget Law that came into effect on January 1 and the supplementary budget that came into effect in July. With this appropriation, Diyanet surpassed six ministries. The appropriations for these ministries under the Budget Law and the supplementary budget law were as follows: Interior 35.9 billion TL, Foreign Affairs 17.3 billion TL, Energy and Natural Resources 32.1 billion TL, Culture and Tourism 17.6 billion TL, Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change 24.8 billion TL, and Trade 17.3 billion TL. 

SUPPLEMENTARY BUDGET NOT ENOUGH!

According to a report by Cumhuriyet; with the appropriations transferred during the year, the budgets of the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change exceeded that of Diyanet. Diyanet's appropriation of 36.1 billion TL was also increased to 36.4 billion TL. However, even this appropriation was not enough, and the institution's expenditure for the January-October period neared 40 billion.

Diyanet spent a total of 39.4 billion TL in 10 months, and 4.8 billion TL in October alone.

5.5 BILLION FROM THE PALACE

The appropriation granted to the Presidency through the Budget Law and the supplementary budget was 7.2 billion TL. This appropriation was increased to 11.2 billion TL. The Presidency spent 5.5 billion TL in 10 months. 

The 10-month expenditures of some ministries also exceeded their budget appropriations. The Ministry of Interior's budget appropriation was 35.9 billion TL. Subsequently, the total appropriation was increased to 41.3 billion TL. Its 10-month expenditure was 37.1 billion TL. The Ministry of National Education's budget appropriation of 461.6 billion TL was increased to 478.5 billion TL. Its 10-month expenditure was 462.3 billion TL. The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure's budget appropriation of 172.1 billion TL was raised to 223.5 billion TL. The 10-month expenditure was 184.9 billion TL. The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change's budget appropriation was 24.8 billion TL. The appropriation was increased to 57.9 billion TL. The ministry's 10-month expenditure was 44.1 billion TL. 

The budget appropriations for this year for general budget administrations, which include ministries and institutions, were 5.4 trillion TL. With transfers made during the year, the appropriation was increased to 6.1 trillion TL. The 10-month expenditure of general budget administrations was 4.4 trillion TL.
