Surprising Öcalan comment from AKP Provincial Chair!

AKP Diyarbakır Provincial Chair Ömer İler visited DEM Party Provincial Co-Chairs Abbas Şahin and Gülşen Özer as part of the Eid al-Adha holiday. Speaking during this first-ever visit, İler made assessments regarding the new process.

“We are going through historic days. For years, there has been tears and sorrow in our country, and specifically in our region, in Diyarbakır. Holidays were not celebrated as we wished. But thank God, our President demonstrated a very good will, and Mr. Devlet Bahçeli extended a good hand to that will. A very good movement emerged in response to that hand. We must also give Öcalan his due. He extended a hand of peace in response to this hand and made a call to the organization,” he stated.

FIRST VISIT BY AKP MEMBERS

AKP Diyarbakır Provincial Chair Ömer İler, along with his party executives, visited the DEM Party Provincial Headquarters on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. Welcomed by DEM Party Diyarbakır Provincial Co-Chairs Abbas Şahin and Gülşen Özer, the delegation became the first AKP group to pay a holiday visit to the DEM Party.

Speaking after the holiday greetings, AKP Diyarbakır Provincial Chair Ömer İler emphasized that holidays are special days when resentments and grievances end, and people come together and bond. İler said, “A holiday is about sharing and coming together. May God grant us many more holidays in peace, happiness, unity, and solidarity, as we desire.”
