Suspect in femicide case in Samsun referred to courthouse
The individual detained on allegations of murdering his wife's friend in Samsun has been referred to the courthouse.
Samsun's Tabakhane Neighborhood, Emir Efendi Street, where 27-year-old Eda Yiğit was stabbed yesterday, resulting in her death; the police procedures for 31-year-old suspect Güven A. have been completed.
The suspect was referred to the courthouse following health checks.
On February 19 in the district, barber Güven A. had severely wounded Eda Yiğit, a friend of his wife with whom he had been arguing, with a knife. Yiğit, a mother of one who was taken to the hospital by medical teams, could not be saved despite the doctors' interventions.
It was alleged that Güven A., who was detained at the scene by Bafra District Police Department teams, stabbed the young woman because he held her responsible for his separation from his wife.
