Suspects detained over landslide in Erzincan's İliç district appear in court
Eight suspects, including the company's Canadian executive, who were detained in connection with the landslide at a mine in the İliç district of Erzincan, have been referred to the courthouse.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing after 9 workers were trapped under soil following the collapse of a heap leach pad at a cyanide gold mine in the İliç district of Erzincan.
The investigation launched by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the landslide at the mine in İliç continues.
In this context, the procedures at the gendarmerie have been completed for the 8 suspects, including the Canadian national J. R.G., as well as A.C., H.Ü., M.B., Ş.D., S.D., M.T., and A.R.K., who held executive and managerial positions at the company operating the gold mine.
The suspects were taken to the İliç Courthouse following a health check.
