'Suspicious bag' panic in container city housing earthquake survivors

In the Yeşilyurt district of the earthquake-stricken region of Malatya, a resident staying at the Manas container city called the 112 Emergency Call Center, reporting that a woman with her face covered had left a bag in their area and ran away from the scene. Following this, numerous teams were dispatched to the area, and some containers were evacuated for security purposes.

BAG WAS LEFT FOR THOSE IN NEED

While the area where the bag was found was cordoned off, a bomb disposal expert was called to the scene. In the meantime, the woman who had left the bag in the area arrived at the scene and stated that she had left the bag, which contained clothing, for those in need.

After determining that the bag contained a large number of clothes, the teams inspected the bag, warned the woman who was a resident of the container city, and left the scene.
