Sweden's NATO accession protocol in Parliament
The Protocol on Sweden's Accession to NATO has been signed by AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
In a statement issued by the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, it was reported that the Protocol on Sweden's Accession to NATO was signed by AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The protocol, which has been submitted to Parliament, is expected to be voted on after being deliberated.

FINLAND APPROVED, SWEDEN NOT YET APPROVED
Finland and Sweden applied for NATO membership last year in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and most alliance members quickly approved these applications.
However, Turkey had not approved Sweden's NATO membership, citing its concerns regarding the fight against terrorism.
