Switched to AKP and opened for tender: Properties objected to by CHP in Beykoz are back on sale

Following the removal of former CHP Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler from office, the sale of municipal properties has come to the agenda after Özlem Vural Gürzel, who was elected as acting mayor, joined the AKP.

According to the report by Ufuk Sepetci from Cumhuriyet, the municipality announced that it has put five plots of land with commercial and residential zoning located in the Çubuklu neighborhood up for sale.

According to the announcement published by the municipality, the total estimated value of the plots in question exceeds 41 million 560 thousand liras. It was stated that the tenders for the land zoned for commerce, commerce-residential, and residential use will be held on May 13 via the closed bid procedure in accordance with the State Tender Law No. 2886.

In previous years, similar property sales had come to the agenda for the purpose of paying the social security (SSK) and tax debts of the Beykoz Municipality and its affiliated companies. However, these sales were blocked after CHP municipal council members Gökhan Taneri Vural and Burak Korkmaz took the matter to court.
