Tanju Özcan calls out Yılmaz Tunç regarding the fire investigation: 'According to the investigation file, all arrows...'

78 people lost their lives in the fire tragedy at the Grand Kartal Hotel, located at the Bolu Kartalkaya Ski Center. While 22 people have been arrested so far within the scope of the investigation, the debate over 'authority' between the government and the opposition continues.

CHP Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan made a statement on his social media account regarding the investigation process.

Tagging Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç in his post, Özcan stated, "Dear Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, the prosecutor's file regarding the fire tragedy in Kartalkaya was opened for review by lawyers after 19 days. Not a single one of the suspects and witnesses within the scope of the file accuses the Bolu Municipality, either directly or indirectly. (Hotel owner, hotel employees, bureaucrats, witnesses) Furthermore, no information, document, or legislative provision submitted to the file contains a single provision indicating that there was any negligence or fault on the part of the Bolu Municipality or its fire department."

It was said that those responsible for this tragedy would be uncovered 'no matter where it leads.' According to the investigation file, all arrows point to the Ministry of Tourism. But for some reason, not a single action has been taken against even one bureaucrat from the Ministry of Tourism."
