Taxi driver with active arrest warrant leads police on chase after failing to stop
In Antalya, a taxi driver identified as Emrullah D., who had an active arrest warrant, fled from police for 5 kilometers after failing to comply with a stop order. The driver, who was caught after dangerous driving, was fined for various traffic violations.
The incident occurred around 13:00 in the Muratpaşa district of Antalya. According to the information obtained, the driver of the commercial taxi with license plate 07 T 3201, identified as 33-year-old Emrullah D., who was wanted for intentional injury, began to flee after failing to comply with a stop order from plainclothes police teams in the side streets of Yenigün Neighborhood. Reinforcement teams were dispatched to the area to apprehend Emrullah D., who was driving dangerously. The driver, who led police on a chase for approximately 5 kilometers, abandoned his vehicle on Aşık Veysel Street and continued to flee on foot.

CAUGHT AFTER A CHASE
The driver was taken into custody after a short chase by the teams in the side streets of Yeşildere. While police teams searched the vehicle, Emrullah D. was taken to the Antalya Police Department for processing.

Traffic teams called to the scene issued fines to the driver for various offenses, primarily failing to comply with a stop order, running a red light, endangering traffic safety, and weaving through traffic. The commercial taxi was handed over to its owner, who was called to the scene.
