Teacher Fatma Nur laid to rest in Konya
Biology teacher Fatma Nur Çelik, who lost her life after being attacked with a knife by her student at the high school where she worked in Istanbul, was laid to rest in her hometown of Konya amidst tears.
44-year-old teacher Fatma Nur Çelik, who was seriously injured in an attack that occurred at the Borsa Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Istanbul's Çekmeköy district last Monday around 11:00 AM, could not be saved despite all interventions at the hospital where she was taken.
According to the information obtained, 17-year-old F.S.B. stabbed teachers Fatma Nur Çelik (44) and Z.A. (52), as well as student S.K. (15). Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the school. Çelik, who received her first intervention at the scene, was taken to the hospital by ambulance, but the doctors' efforts were unsuccessful.
FUNERAL BROUGHT TO KONYA
After the completion of legal procedures in Istanbul, Çelik's body was handed over to her family and taken to her hometown of Konya. The funeral prayer was held at the Parsana Grand Mosque following the noon prayer.

Before the prayer, teacher Fatma Nur's child also came to the side of the coffin with a relative.

In addition to her family, Konya Governor İbrahim Akın, Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay, protocol members, and many citizens attended the ceremony.

Following the funeral prayer, Fatma Nur Çelik was laid to rest in the Musalla Cemetery.
