Teacher Fatma's final words break hearts

The incident at the Borsa İstanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Istanbul's Çekmeköy district resulted in the death of teacher Fatma Nur Çelik. According to eyewitness accounts, the attack took place during class hours.

"DANGEROUS STUDENT" PETITION

It was stated that 44-year-old biology teacher Fatma Nur Çelik had previously submitted a petition to the school administration regarding the student F.S.B., who was alleged to be schizophrenic and a substance abuser, describing him as a "dangerous student."

Allegedly, F.S.B. was later admitted to the Bakırköy Mazhar Osman Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Hospital for treatment. However, it was claimed that during his time in the hospital, he had problems at school and began to harbor feelings of revenge against the teacher.

ENTERED THE CLASSROOM WITH A KNIFE

It was alleged that the attacker, whose method of release from the hospital is unknown, obtained the teacher's schedule to determine when she would be in class.

It was reported that around 11:00 AM on the day of the incident, the classroom door suddenly opened and the attacker entered with a knife in his hand. It was stated that the attacker forced the teacher out of the classroom.

When students tried to follow to protect their teacher, it was stated that Fatma Nur Çelik held the door handle to prevent it from being opened. During this time, it was reported that the attacker stabbed the teacher multiple times.

It was reported that the severely wounded teacher collapsed to the ground covered in blood, then crawled to the adjacent classroom. It was stated that she told chemistry teacher Zeynep Aybars, "Take Kemal out of school," before losing consciousness.

It was alleged that the teacher's son, Kemal, was undergoing treatment for leukemia.

It was reported that the attacker also stabbed a student and teacher Zeynep Aybars before fleeing the school. It was announced that Fatma Nur Çelik, who was rushed to the hospital, could not be saved despite all interventions.

A ceremony was held at the school for Fatma Nur Çelik. Students who attended the ceremony shed tears for their teacher.
