Teacher found dead in his vehicle

Authorities were alerted after a report was received in the evening hours about an unresponsive person in a parked car on the road to Kireçli village in Artvin's Şavşat district. Health and gendarmerie teams arriving at the scene determined that 53-year-old mathematics teacher İsmail Dede, who was inside the vehicle, had lost his life.

Colleagues at the Şavşat Ahmet Fevzi Primary School, where İsmail Dede worked, and local residents had notified authorities after stating they had not heard from him for some time. Initial examinations at the scene determined that Dede had been shot.

While gendarmerie teams have increased security measures in the area, detailed investigations and evidence collection efforts have been initiated. It was stated that the necessary forensic reports will be prepared to definitively determine the cause of death, and a comprehensive investigation is being conducted into whether the incident was a suicide or a homicide.

Officials stated that the investigation is being carried out meticulously and that developments will be shared with the public. İsmail Dede's sudden passing was met with sadness in the district.
