Temporary restriction placed on Mahir Polat's brother's social media account!

A temporary restriction has been placed on the X account of Cevdet Polat, the brother of Mahir Polat, the Deputy Secretary General of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) who was arrested as part of the 'urban consensus' investigation launched into the İBB.

Calls for the release of Mahir Polat, the Deputy Secretary General of the İBB, who was detained during the İBB operations on March 19 and arrested on March 23 by the duty court on the grounds of the 'urban consensus' investigation, continue.

Polat, who has reportedly suffered from heart disease and hypertension for years, has been taken to the hospital multiple times for health check-ups, including twice due to health complications, since the day he was transferred to Silivri.

Mahir Polat's brother, Cevdet Polat, had been sharing updates about his brother's latest condition via his X account. However, it was observed that a temporary restriction was placed on Cevdet Polat's account by X.

Users attempting to access Polat's profile encountered a warning from X stating, "Caution: This account is temporarily restricted. You are seeing this warning because we have detected unusual activity on this account. Do you still want to view it?"
