Tense moments at Çukurova Municipality, gunshots heard: Employee shoots manager
In Adana, an employee working as a driver at the Çukurova Municipality shot and wounded 45-year-old Road Works Manager Orhan Aynal in his office with a handgun, allegedly because his duty station had been changed. It was learned that the wounded manager is in good condition, while the suspect has fled.
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred at the Çukurova Municipality construction site located on Necmettin Erbakan Boulevard in the 100. Yıl neighborhood of the Çukurova district. It is alleged that the duty station of İbrahim İ. (44), who works as a driver at the Çukurova Municipality Road Works Directorate, was changed. Angered by this situation, İbrahim İ. went to the construction site to meet with manager Orhan Aynal in his office.
During the meeting, the suspect shot Aynal in the leg with a handgun and fled. The wounded manager was taken to the hospital by an ambulance called by employees at the site. It was learned that Aynal's health condition is good. The police have launched an operation to apprehend the fleeing suspect.
