Tension in the Aegean: Ministry of National Defense monitoring Greece's plans
The Ministry of National Defense stated that Greece's unilateral initiatives in the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean within the framework of 'Maritime Spatial Planning' are contrary to international law.
In a statement made by Ministry of National Defense sources, it was noted: "We are closely monitoring certain initiatives regarding the Eastern Mediterranean and the Aegean Sea, which lack legal basis and are contrary to international law, within the framework of the 'Maritime Spatial Planning' recently announced to the public by Greece. Such planning, carried out unilaterally by Greece regarding maritime jurisdiction areas, is contrary to international law."
