Footage of a sexual assault scandal in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district has emerged. One of two individuals who blocked a young woman walking down the street forced her to the ground and sexually assaulted her. The young woman was rescued with the help of nearby citizens, and the incident was captured on security camera.

The incident occurred on September 24 on Balo Street in the Şehit Muhtar neighborhood of Beyoğlu. According to information obtained, Semir T. and Ömer K. followed 25-year-old İrem A. as she was walking home, eventually blocking her path and beginning to harass her. One of the individuals, who cornered the young woman against a wall, then forced her to the ground and continued the assault. His companion stood by and watched. Citizens who saw the young woman being assaulted on the ground intervened in the incident.

While the individuals were driven away from the area by citizens, the young woman was comforted by those nearby. Following the incident, police teams were dispatched to the scene. As a result of the work carried out by the Beyoğlu Security Team, the suspects Semir T. and Ömer K. were apprehended and taken into custody. It was learned that the suspects' processing at the police station was ongoing and that they both have extensive criminal records.

S.T. and Ö.K. were released after their processing at the police station. It was learned that the two men who were released have been involved in crimes such as "sexual assault," "intentional injury," "resisting an officer," "robbery," and "theft from a vehicle."
