Terror operation in Istanbul: 10 suspects arrested
Of the 11 suspects detained in an operation targeting individuals wanted for terror-related crimes in Istanbul, 10 have been arrested.
The Istanbul Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Branch, in coordination with the Intelligence Branch, conducted an operation to apprehend individuals who were fugitives in connection with terror-related crimes.
During the operation carried out on February 25 at identified addresses to capture fugitives with active arrest warrants for "membership in an armed terrorist organization," 10 people were apprehended, including a so-called provincial imam of FETÖ, a ByLock user, and individuals dismissed from public service. One suspect with an active arrest warrant for membership in the armed terrorist organization PKK/KCK was also detained during the operation.
Following their processing at the police station, the suspects were referred to the courthouse, where 10 were arrested by the presiding judge, while one was released under judicial control.
