Terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan has undergone surgery
It has been learned that terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan underwent cataract surgery while the İmralı talks were ongoing.
In the new resolution process that began with the call from MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, the DEM Party İmralı Delegation had held 3 meetings with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan.
While the first meeting was held on December 28, 2024, and the second on Wednesday, January 22, terrorist leader Öcalan's call to lay down arms was read following the final meeting on February 27.
It has been learned that terrorist leader Öcalan underwent cataract surgery during the days when the DEM Party's İmralı traffic was continuing.
According to the report by Gazete Duvar, the surgery took place between the first visit by İmralı Delegation members Pervin Buldan and Sırrı Süreyya Önder on December 28 and their second visit on January 22. During the second meeting, the delegation was informed that Öcalan had undergone cataract surgery on one of his eyes.
While it was stated that the surgery was performed in İmralı, it was learned that Öcalan is also planned to undergo surgery on his other eye.
