Terrorist leader Öcalan's message to DEM deputies revealed

In the new peace process, of which MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli is the architect, terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan had called on the terrorist organization PKK to lay down its arms on February 27.

Following this call, there was intense meeting traffic within the DEM Party. Meetings were held first with the Party Assembly and provincial co-chairs, then with the Central Executive Committee (MYK), and finally with municipal co-chairs and deputies.

CALL FOR CAUTION TO DEPUTIES AND MAYORS

According to a report by Mahir Kılıç from Habertürk, during the approximately 7-hour meeting chaired by the DEM Party co-chairs, deputies and mayors were reminded that they must use language appropriate to the sensitivity of the process. It was emphasized that they should avoid rhetoric and approaches that could negatively affect the process.

"SPEAK ON PEACE"

During the meeting, the message from terrorist leader Öcalan to the DEM Party deputies was also shared. It was reported that the terrorist leader called on the deputies to "Speak on peace, embrace peace, and explain it."

'40 YEARS AGO, THE KURD HAD NO NAME'

In his message to the mayors, it was stated that terrorist leader Öcalan said, "40 years ago, the Kurd had no name; today, they have municipalities. Explain the process, explain peace to the public."

PUBLIC MEETINGS BEGIN

The DEM Party is accelerating its efforts to better explain the process to the public. Between March 9 and 15, public meetings and hall gatherings will be organized in different parts of Turkey. In these events, the process will be evaluated by coming together with prominent figures of the region, non-governmental organizations, intellectuals, and Alevi organizations.
