TFF releases VAR records for Week 22 of the Süper Lig
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has released the VAR records for the matches played in the 22nd week of the Trendyol Süper Lig.
The TFF has shared the audio and video recordings of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) reviews for 5 matches played in the 22nd week of the Süper Lig on its YouTube account.
The matches and decisions included in the video are as follows:
- In the 43rd minute of the Konyaspor - Bodrum FK match, referee Ümit Öztürk received a VAR alert for a potential penalty review. After going to the sideline to watch the position, Öztürk determined that Yusuf Erdoğan had touched the ball with his hand and pointed to the penalty spot.
- In the 82nd minute of the Eyüpspor - Sivasspor match, referee Atilla Karaoğlan showed a yellow card to Murat Paluli for a foul. After coming to the sideline following a VAR alert, Karaoğlan returned to the pitch and canceled the yellow card, instead showing a direct red card due to Murat's foul play against Ampem.
- In the 43rd minute of the Hatayspor - Antalyaspor match, during an attack by the home team, referee Direnç Tonusluoğlu pointed to the penalty spot. After reviewing the position following a VAR alert, Tonusluoğlu determined that the defender had touched the ball before the opponent and returned to the pitch to cancel the penalty.
- In the 41st minute of the Göztepe - Alanyaspor match, following a corner kick taken by the home team, referee Arda Kardeşler pointed to the penalty spot for a handball. After watching the position on the monitor following a VAR alert, Kardeşler determined there was a foul and ruled in favor of Alanyaspor.
- In the 59th minute of the Göztepe - Alanyaspor match, during an attack by the yellow-reds, referee Arda Kardeşler once again pointed to the penalty spot due to a handball in the penalty area. After coming to the sideline following a VAR alert, Kardeşler canceled the penalty because the defender had touched the ball with his shoulder.
- In the 65th minute of the Göztepe - Alanyaspor match, the home team scored a goal with Heliton following a scramble. VAR alerted referee Arda Kardeşler once again. After reviewing the position, Kardeşler determined that Heliton had fouled goalkeeper Ertuğrul and returned to the pitch to cancel the goal.
- In the 45+3rd minute of the Fenerbahçe - Çaykur Rizespor match, following a corner kick, referee Burak Pakkan came to the sideline following a VAR alert. Determining that Rizespor player Akintola had brought down Skriniar inside the penalty area, Pakkan awarded a penalty in favor of the yellow-navies.
