According to the statement made by the Regional Forecast and Warning Center of the 4th Regional Directorate of Meteorology, the air temperature, which is expected to remain above seasonal norms in the region, will continue to have an effect throughout the week.
Air temperatures in Antalya and its surrounding areas as well as in higher altitudes will rise 8 to 12 degrees above seasonal norms.
While it is predicted that the perceived temperature will be even higher due to high humidity, especially in coastal areas, the air temperature is estimated to be between 37 and 45 degrees.
Due to the heatwave, it has been reported that citizens, especially those with chronic illnesses, the elderly, and children, should be careful and take precautions between 11:00 and 16:00, which are the hottest hours of the day.
