The first instruction Erdoğan gave to Akın Gürlek has been revealed
Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek, in a meeting with TGRT Haber Ankara Representative Fatih Atik, revealed the first instruction given to him by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Akın Gürlek was appointed to the Ministry of Justice by the decision of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Fatih Atik, the Ankara Representative of TGRT Haber, which is close to the government, shared details of his meeting with Minister Gürlek in his column.
In his statement to Atik, Gürlek also revealed the first instruction Erdoğan gave him.
Atik noted the following regarding his meeting with Gürlek:
“When I went to congratulate our new Minister of Justice, Akın Gürlek, I had the opportunity to interview him. His very relaxed and calm demeanor caught my attention. Amidst the intensity, his confident stance made it clear that he knew what he was doing.
When he said that President Erdoğan’s first instruction was ‘Work, Akın,’ I saw him determined to fulfill the assigned duty properly. The most striking sentence Gürlek used while talking about the protest in Parliament was, ‘The issue is not an Akın Gürlek issue; the issue is a Turkey issue.’ He had placed on record that his door is now open to everyone as the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Turkey.”
In the continuation of his article, Atik also touched upon Gürlek’s statements on the A Haber broadcast.
Atik stated, “On the evening of the day we met in his office, Gürlek was on a live broadcast on A Haber television. There was a sentence he formed that caught my attention. Minister Gürlek said, ‘We found irregularities in the CHP’s accounts regarding the purchase of the provincial building and the party convention processes.’”
