The first words of Nevzat Bahtiyar, the confessor in the Narin Güran murder, to the gendarmerie have emerged
The first statement given to the gendarmerie by Nevzat Bahtiyar, who confessed to burying Narin Güran's body in a sack in a stream bed, has been obtained.
The investigation into the murder of Narin Güran, who was reported missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Bağlar district and whose lifeless body was found 19 days later, continues.
New details have emerged regarding the detention process of Nevzat Bahtiyar, the confessor of the brutal murder.
According to a report by Özgür Cebe from Sözcü, it has been revealed that Nevzat Bahtiyar, who confessed to burying Narin's body in a sack in a stream bed, was caught based on footage from a school camera.
"THIS IS AS FAR AS IT GOES, I WILL TELL YOU EVERYTHING I KNOW"
After Nevzat's vehicle was spotted in the angle of the school's security camera, and following the review of camera footage from the military base overlooking the area, Bahtiyar was detained at his home. According to information reflected in the gendarmerie's search and seizure report, it was determined that upon seeing the soldiers at his door, Bahtiyar said, "This is as far as it goes. I will tell you everything I know."
After Narin went missing, the gendarmerie teams that arrived in the village continued the search as a missing person case, rather than with the suspicion that the little girl might have been kidnapped or murdered. As the efforts were carried out for a long time based on finding a missing child, the possibility arose that details from the school camera might not have been taken into account.
WATCHED SECOND BY SECOND
After the body was found on September 8, JASAT teams, considering that Narin might have been kidnapped or murdered rather than just missing, watched all the footage of Narin leaving the camera angle at 15:15 for a second time, second by second, on a giant screen.
FIRST FOOTAGE ON THE SCHOOL CAMERA
The suspicious seconds were paused, the screen was enlarged, and both the people and vehicles in the footage were placed under scrutiny. Nevzat Bahtiyar's vehicle was also identified in the school camera recordings; however, since the vehicle left the camera's field of view, the footage could not be followed further. This time, camera footage from the military base, which overlooks the plain where the cotton and corn fields around the village and the Eğertutmaz stream bed are located, was examined retrospectively.
FOLLOWED BY MILITARY CAMERA AFTER LEAVING SCHOOL CAMERA ANGLE
In this footage, it was determined that Nevzat Bahtiyar's vehicle, which had left the school camera's angle, remained stationary near the stream bed between 15:40 and 16:30; subsequently, it was determined that Bahtiyar walked from the area where the stream bed is located to the point where the houses are, where his vehicle was parked.
SIGNAL RECEIVED FROM THE SAME AREA
It was determined that Bahtiyar's phone received a signal from the same area at a time corresponding to when Narin went missing. Following this footage, the Gendarmerie went to his house in Tavşantepe Village with a decision obtained from the duty Magistrate Judge for the detention of Nevzat Bahtiyar and for a search and seizure at his residence.
"I WILL TELL YOU EVERYTHING I KNOW"
Seeing the gendarmerie teams in front of him, Nevzat Bahtiyar said, "This is as far as it goes; I knew this would come to light. I will tell you everything I know." These sentences of Bahtiyar were reflected in the reports of the gendarmerie teams participating in the house search.
All digital materials in the house were also seized for examination. Considering the possibility that the feud that began between the two Güran and Bahtiyar families because he testified against the village headman uncle Salim Güran could turn into a blood feud in the future, Bahtiyar's wife and family were taken out of the village under strict security measures by the gendarmerie yesterday evening and taken to an unknown location along with their belongings.
