The net tightens in Güllü's death: Daughter's contradictory statements draw attention

New developments have emerged in the investigation into the death of singer Güllü, who lost her life after falling from the window of her 6th-floor apartment in Yalova. It was reported that the police interrogation of Güllü's daughter, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, and her friend, Sultan Nur Ulu, who were apprehended in Istanbul and brought to Yalova, is ongoing.

Within the scope of the operation, a 17-year-old individual named İrem, who was in the house along with Gülter and Ulu, was released following police procedures. The person who took Gülter and Ulu from Yalova to Istanbul after Güllü's death, as well as the owner of the house where they stayed in Istanbul, were also taken into custody. Thus, it was learned that the number of detainees has risen to 4.

INVESTIGATION ON SUSPICION OF 'INTENTIONAL HOMICIDE'

According to information in the investigation file, it was revealed that Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter and Sultan Nur Ulu were taken into custody for the crime of "intentional homicide" in line with data obtained during technical surveillance. It was stated that strong, concrete evidence deemed important for the course of the investigation has been added to the file. Following these developments, a confidentiality order was issued for the case.

CONTRADICTIONS DETECTED IN STATEMENTS

It was reported that examinations conducted by experts at the scene revealed significant contradictions between the statements given by the suspects and the reconstruction of the incident. Furthermore, it was noted that there were inconsistent details in the statements taken from Gülter and Ulu on three separate occasions.

Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor Duygu Bayar Öksüz, who is conducting the investigation, stated in a written announcement that they are carrying out a comprehensive study and used the following expressions:

“There is a confidentiality order on the file. We have been conducting a detailed, careful, and secret investigation, as if digging a well with a needle. We worked meticulously to capture concrete evidence. We needed to confront them with concrete evidence. We could never allow room for error. It is the product of a detailed study.”
