The saying that every killer returns to the scene of the crime comes true: Killer who returned to the murder scene caught

The incident in Antalya occurred around 01:00 on 1986 Street in the Fener neighborhood of the Muratpaşa district. Polat Dereli first went to a cafeteria in the Çağlayan neighborhood, where he argued with and attacked Osman Dere, a valet he did not know, with a knife. Those who saw the valet was wounded reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the area upon the report.

According to DHA's report, Dereli, who fled the scene on his bicycle with the murder weapon, had an argument with Deniz Akten on the same street 15 minutes later. Dereli stabbed Akten, who worked as a drummer in the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Band, 20 times and fled the scene. Upon the report, teams arriving at the scene determined that Deniz Akten had lost his life. Following the notification, the Muratpaşa Crime Investigation Bureau, the Homicide Bureau, and crime scene investigation teams were called to the scene.

While the teams arrived at the scene in a short time, the crime scene investigation teams began working on the street, which they had cordoned off. While the Crime Investigation and Homicide Bureau teams were gathering information about the incident, they determined that Polat Dereli was at the scene and watching the police work. The teams caught and took Polat Dereli into custody along with the murder weapon.

After the work of the crime scene investigation teams, the lifeless body of Deniz Akten was taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy. Osman Dere, who was stabbed in front of his workplace where he worked as a valet and whose life is not in danger, was taken to the hospital. Polat Dereli, who was taken into custody, exercised his right to remain silent at the police station.
