It was stated that the banknote, whose official name is "1st Emission 5 Turkish Lira," is among the first emission currencies of the Republic. It was noted that the banknote, which entered circulation in 1927, is called by this name due to the gray wolf figure on it.

ITS VALUE REACHES 20 THOUSAND DOLLARS
It was stated that the value of the banknote, which has a special place in the world of collecting, varies according to its serial number, condition, signature group, and rarity. According to experts, well-preserved examples can find buyers at international auctions for between 15 and 20 thousand dollars.
On the other hand, the information that the banknote was printed in England also drew attention. It was noted that the inscription "Thomas De La Rue & Company Limited Londres" at the bottom of the money belongs to one of the important security printing companies of the period.
