They deceived 600 thousand people using Alper Gezeravcı's name. Fake Q&A went viral

The journey of the first Turkish astronaut Alper Gezeravcı and the posts he has made from space continue to be a topic of conversation. Gezeravcı, who holds an important place on the country's agenda, has now made headlines due to a fake account incident.

An account using the username "alpergezeravci" on Instagram shared a Q&A session as if it were from Gezeravcı.

Because it was not understood that the account was a fan page, many news sites shared the responses in question as if they were truly from Alper Gezeravcı.

The fan page reached 600 thousand followers because it was mistaken for the real Alper Gezeravcı.

While Alper Gezeravcı's official Instagram account bears the name "astroalper", the account named alpergezeravc, which surpassed 600 thousand followers in a short time, is a fan account, and its profile description clearly states: "Our page is a page established to promote Alpergezeravcı and axiom 3."

This fake post made in the name of Gezeravcı, one of the names shaping the agenda, spread quickly as if it were real and was used by many sites, including news agencies.

These news reports, which were shared by many sites as if Alper Gezeravcı had conducted a Q&A until the truth was understood, were urgently removed from publication.

The Turkish Space Agency (TUA) announced that the social media accounts of Turkey's first astronaut Alper Gezeravcı are "Instagram: @astroalper https://instagram.com/astroalper" and "X: @TURKastro https://twitter.com/TURKastro".

Information regarding Gezeravcı's social media accounts was provided by TUA on the X social media platform.

In the post, which stated that one should be careful about fake accounts, it was noted that Gezeravcı's Instagram account is "@astroalper https://instagram.com/astroalper" and his X account is "@TURKastro https://twitter.com/TURKastro".
