The incident took place on September 15 in Zeytinburnu. S.Y., who withdrew 693 thousand TL from the bank, left the bank in their vehicle. After parking the vehicle and stopping by a business, S.Y. encountered a shocking sight upon returning.

Finding one of the vehicle's windows broken, S.Y. saw that the 693 thousand TL withdrawn from the bank was also missing. They immediately reported the incident to the police. Teams from the Public Security Branch Office's Theft and Pickpocketing Bureau arrived at the scene and launched an investigation.

FOLLOWING FOOTAGE EMERGES

The police began reviewing security camera footage, starting from the bank where the money was withdrawn. During the investigation, it was determined that S.Y., who withdrew the money from the bank, was followed by a suspicious vehicle as they left.

Through security camera tracking, it was determined that there were 2 suspects. The investigation also revealed the method used in the incident. The suspects had followed S.Y., who had withdrawn a large amount of money from the bank, and at an opportune moment, smashed the vehicle's window and took the money inside.

SUSPECTS APPREHENDED

The police, who went after the 2 individuals identified in the footage, soon determined that the suspects were Georgian nationals, George S. (45) and Nikoloz N. (23). An operation was carried out on the house where they were determined to be staying in Başakşehir. The 2 suspects were taken into custody. During the search of the house, 2 thousand 500 dollars and 16 thousand lira were seized. The suspects, who were interrogated at the Public Security Branch Office, were sent to the courthouse.
