They fought with flying kicks in traffic: Their licenses were confiscated

In an incident that occurred yesterday afternoon in the Acemler area of Bursa, the drivers of two cars traveling toward the city center on the İzmir Road began arguing following a traffic dispute. Serkan K., the driver of the vehicle with license plate 16 NE 854, and Emirhan A., who was driving the car with license plate 16 BMB 680, stopped their vehicles in the middle of the road, and their verbal altercation quickly turned into a physical fight. The parties attacked each other with punches and kicks.

The fight was brought to an end with difficulty through the intervention of witnesses and a motorcycle courier passing by at the time. Those moments were also captured on the courier's helmet camera. While no complaints were filed during the fight, the footage became a trending topic on social media.

LICENSE CONFISCATED

Following the footage, Traffic Inspection Branch teams took the two drivers, whose identities were determined, to the police station. Serkan K. was issued a total administrative fine of 4,984 TL for "stopping vehicles in a way that obstructs the movement of other vehicles without a mandatory reason," "sudden and unnecessary slowing down," "failure to comply with traffic signs," and "driving a vehicle not in compliance with technical requirements." Additionally, his driver's license was temporarily confiscated, and he was referred for a psychotechnical evaluation.

Emirhan A., in addition to similar charges, received a fine of 7,703 TL due to additional violations such as "having advertisements or symbols on the vehicle without permission" and "using an exaggerated exhaust." As Emirhan A. was in the status of a driver candidate, his license was permanently revoked after his penalty points exceeded 75.

It was stated that judicial proceedings for both drivers are ongoing.
