In the new resolution process, of which MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli is the architect and which the government calls a Terror-Free Turkey, following the video message from terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan, 30 PKK terrorists, including KCK Co-Chair Bese Hozat, laid down their weapons and set them on fire yesterday (July 11) in Sulaymaniyah.

Ako Xarib, Director of the Sulaymaniyah National Security Museum, who made statements on the subject, stated that a decision had previously been made to exhibit and preserve these weapons at the Amna Suraka National Museum. However, he announced that with a subsequent change, it was decided that the burned weapons would remain in their current state at the Casene Cave and be preserved there.

Xarib added that a special system would be established for the protection and security of the place where the weapons will be stored, and that technical preparations for this are ongoing.

“A STEP TOWARD A POLITICAL SOLUTION”

KCK Co-Chair Bese Hozat, who attended the ceremony and holds a high-level position in the organization, described the act as "a step toward a political solution" in an interview she gave after the event.

Stating that expectations regarding what path will be followed after the burning of the weapons continue, Hozat used the expressions, "For a movement calling for democratic politics, weapons are now an obstacle. We want to remove these obstacles with seriousness and responsibility."

In the footage published in pro-terrorist organization media outlets before the ceremony, moments are seen where the group laying down their arms listens to the message of terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan and leaves the area under the leadership of Bese Hozat. Additionally, Turkish-language interviews given after the ceremony by Behzat Çerçel and Tekoşin Ozan, who participated in the ceremony and are among the organization's leadership, were also shared.

In these interviews, the organization's leaders reiterated the message that "they have taken a step for democratic politics and that this is a new method of struggle."
