CHP leader Özgür Özel met with Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ. The Zafer Party delegation welcomed Özel and his accompanying staff at the party headquarters. The meeting lasted for over an hour.

JOINT STATEMENT MADE

Following the meeting, the two leaders appeared before the press and made joint statements. Özgür Özel reiterated his call for early elections and voiced his criticisms of the government.

Özel stated, "In none of the polls does he have the strength left to win a parliamentary seat. That is why Erdoğan is afraid of the ballot box and is running away from the nation."

REITERATED THE 'EARLY ELECTION' CALL

Repeating his call in his statement, Özel continued, "I am making this call once again." Özel said, "Erdoğan will go down in history as a leader who ran away from an early election mandated by the Constitution. If he does not want to go down that way, he will either bring that ballot box, or he will bring it."

MESSAGE OF SUPPORT FROM ÖZDAĞ

Victory Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ stated that they support the demand for early elections, saying, "We support the early election and will keep it on our agenda."

REACTION TO ISRAEL

Answering journalists' questions after the joint statement, Özgür Özel addressed the remarks made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz regarding AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğanreacted to the remarks directed at him.

Özel, "Complete insolence" saying, "It is complete insolence for a genocidal person who has blood on their hands, who massacres babies, kills children, and kills innocent people to make a statement targeting someone who is currently serving as the President of the Republic of Turkey." he stated.

Özel continued his statement as follows:

"Furthermore, whatever they hope to achieve by targeting two CHP mayors and the former chairman there, it is impossible for them to succeed. From all the CHP members targeted there, and from all members of the CHP, setting aside internal political competition, not the slightest bit of credit will go to Israel and its blood-stained administration; they will gain nothing from it. On this issue, Turkey stands fully united and as one against Israel, on the side of the innocent. They will not find a single CHP member who will stand with Israel."
