They were on their way to Martyr Abakay's funeral: Vehicle overturned, 1 dead, 5 injured

The Ministry of National Defense announced that Infantry Contracted Private Maşallah Abakay was martyred during an infiltration attempt by members of the separatist terrorist organization in the Claw-Lock Operation region.

In a written statement from the Ministry of National Defense, it was stated, "On September 22, 2024, our heroic comrade-in-arms, Infantry Contracted Private Maşallah Abakay, was martyred during an infiltration attempt by members of the separatist terrorist organization in the Claw-Lock Operation Region. We wish God's mercy upon our dear martyr who lost his life in this incident that has plunged us into deep pain and sorrow, and we extend our condolences and patience to his grieving family, the Turkish Armed Forces, and our noble nation."

The pickup truck with license plate 21 BF 066, whose driver could not be identified, carrying relatives who had come to Muş to attend Martyr Abakay's funeral, lost control in the Şenyayla region and overturned into a ditch. Upon notification, 112 Emergency Health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident.

One person in the pickup truck, which overturned onto a stabilized road below the highway, lost their life, and 5 people were injured. The injured were taken to Muş State Hospital by ambulances after the teams' intervention.
