Thief released 2 months ago in Kastamonu arrested for the same crime

In the Azdavay district of Kastamonu, one of three people detained on suspicion of cable theft has been arrested.

Teams from the Provincial Gendarmerie Command searched a vehicle they stopped on suspicion.

During the search, 21 power transmission cables, 2 coils of stripped cable, 3 knives, 2 pliers, a pruning shear, an iron file, a pair of pincers, side cutters, an axe, and a spatula were seized.

C.Ç, H.G, and G.Ç, who were in the vehicle, were taken into custody in connection with the incident.

After being processed at the gendarmerie, the suspects were referred to the courthouse. C.Ç was arrested by the judge on duty, while the other 2 individuals were released under judicial control conditions.

It was learned that one of the suspects, C.Ç, had been caught committing cable theft in the same region in 2023 and was released from prison in December 2023 after being sentenced to 4 months in prison.
