Third 'venue' obstacle for Ekrem İmamoğlu's program: Efforts remain fruitless

TBB and IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, the sole candidate for the primary election to be held on March 23 to determine the presidential candidate, will visit Erzincan on Sunday, March 16, as part of his nationwide tours to meet with party members.

According to information obtained, just as in Kastamonu and Trabzon, the request for a venue for İmamoğlu's program to be held in Erzincan was rejected.

It was learned that the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, which initially stated that the venue was available upon the request of the CHP Erzincan Provincial Presidency for March 16, rejected the request today on the grounds that there is another program at the venue.

IN FRONT OF ORTAHİSAR MUNICIPALITY 

According to the weekly schedule published by the Provincial Directorate, sports competitions were scheduled at the Erzincan Central Yaşar Erkan Sports Hall on Sunday, March 16, at 13:00, 15:00, and 20:00 as part of the March 18 Çanakkale Victory events. According to the previous schedule, the date of the basketball match, which was announced to be held on Saturday, March 15, was changed to March 16 at 20:00. It was learned that despite the efforts made by the CHP before the Erzincan Governorship, the request for a venue was not met and another alternative is being sought.

When the sports hall requested for the program İmamoğlu was to hold in Kastamonu today was not provided, the program was moved to the Kuzeykent Marketplace. The sports hall requested for the program to be held in Trabzon on Saturday, March 15, was also not allocated to İmamoğlu. Consequently, İmamoğlu will meet with citizens in front of the Ortahisar Municipality on Saturday.
