Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district and whose lifeless body was found on September 8, 22 suspects, including her mother, father, and relatives, had been detained.

The suspects were referred to the courthouse this morning following their interrogation procedures at the gendarmerie. The interrogation of the 22 suspects was completed by one Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor and three public prosecutors.

Following the questioning, mother Yüksel Güran was referred to the Duty Magistrate's Court with a request for arrest on charges of 'complicity in intentional killing'; brother Enes Güran on charges of 'complicity in intentional killing'; cousin Muhammet K. on charges of 'aiding and abetting a criminal, destroying criminal evidence'; cousin B.G. on charges of 'aiding and abetting a criminal, destroying criminal evidence'; aunt-in-law M.G. on charges of 'aiding and abetting a criminal, destroying criminal evidence'; Mehmet Salim A., a worker for the detained uncle Salim Güran, on charges of 'aiding and abetting a criminal, destroying criminal evidence'; the other worker Ramazan A. on charges of 'aiding and abetting a criminal, destroying criminal evidence'; her aunt's husband Mehmet Şevket K. on charges of 'aiding and abetting a criminal, destroying criminal evidence'; and uncle F.G. on charges of 'destroying criminal evidence'. Thirteen people, including Narin's father Arif Güran, were released. Judicial control measures were imposed on 3 of the released individuals.

Those released left the courthouse by bus under gendarmerie escort.
