THY issues statement on 'manager salaries': Does not reflect the truth
Turkish Airlines Press Counselor Yahya Üstün has issued a statement regarding executive salaries. Üstün stated that the speculations concerning the salaries of the management team do not reflect the truth.
Following the six-month inflation figures, it was claimed that Turkish Airlines had increased its employees' salaries. It was alleged that the general manager's salary had become 1 million 820 thousand TL, the deputy manager's salary was 1 million 638 thousand TL, and the department head's salary was 910,000 TL. It was also claimed that the manager's salary was 455 thousand TL.
In a statement made on his social media account, Üstün said, "The speculations regarding the salaries of the Turkish Airlines management team, which have appeared in certain media outlets recently, do not reflect the truth and are a deliberate attempt aimed at damaging the ever-increasing value of our brand. No salary adjustment has been made for our management team, and the necessary adjustments for the remaining personnel salaries have been carried out in accordance with the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement. We view with regret that our brand, which is one of our country's leading national assets, is being made the subject of such speculations. We respectfully submit this to the public's information."
