Traffic density in Istanbul reaches 63 percent with the opening of schools

According to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Cep Trafik data, traffic density was measured at 60 percent on the European side and 71 percent on the Anatolian side. The overall density rate across the city reached 63 percent.

With the opening of schools, extreme congestion was experienced throughout the city, especially during the morning hours.

Long queues of vehicles formed on the D-100 Highway near Bostancı, while traffic came to a standstill in some areas. Kilometers-long queues occurred on roads where vehicles were struggling to move forward.
