In Istanbul's Levent district, city traffic came to a near-complete standstill following an armed clash that occurred around the Israeli Consulate in the morning hours.

While numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene, security forces increased security measures around the consulate.

Following the clash, traffic was closed to flow starting from the Seyrantepe point. In this context, kilometers-long vehicle queues formed in the city, especially during the morning rush hour. Drivers were unable to exit the traffic for a long time, and major disruptions occurred in urban transportation.

While authorities have not yet shared detailed information regarding the specifics of the incident, citizens were asked not to approach the vicinity of the consulate and to prefer alternative routes.

It was reported that security measures at the scene are ongoing, and an official statement is expected in the coming hours.
