Tragic accident in Adıyaman: 4 dead, 6 injured
Four people died and six were injured in a head-on collision between two cars in the Kahta district of Adıyaman.
The accident occurred in the evening hours near the Kahta Creek bridge.
According to the information obtained, a car with license plate 34 BAY 262, driven by Mahmut Orman (70) and traveling from the direction of Diyarbakır toward Kahta district, collided head-on with a car with license plate 63 YY 734, driven by Hasan Kömür.
Hasan Kömür, Fadile Kömür, Fatma Kömür, and Gülizar Orman lost their lives in the accident. Mahmut Orman, Cemal Orman, Rukiye Orman, Emine Özdemir, Mehmet Emin Özdemir, and Delal Ecrin Özdemir were injured.
Upon notification, Kahta Municipality fire crews and 112 emergency health teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured were taken to Kahta State Hospital after receiving initial intervention at the scene.
The bodies of those who died in the accident were taken to the hospital morgue. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
