Tragic accident in Bursa: Young driver loses his life
In a single-vehicle traffic accident that occurred at night in Bursa's Ataevler neighborhood, 27-year-old B.İ., who crashed his car into a pole, could not be saved despite all interventions and lost his life. An investigation into the incident has been launched following the accident.
A traffic accident that occurred on the night of January 19, 2025, in the Ataevler neighborhood of Bursa's Osmangazi district has claimed a life. B.İ., who lost control of his steering while driving his car with license plate 16 UF 720 on Ata Boulevard around 23:20, was seriously injured when the vehicle struck a pole on the side of the road.
The 112 Emergency Service teams dispatched to the scene transported the young driver, who was found unconscious in the accident, to Acıbadem Hospital. However, despite all interventions by doctors, Berke İkiz, born in 1998, passed away at 01:00.
Following the accident, eyewitnesses stated that İkiz was alone in the vehicle and struck the pole while moving at high speed. In the investigation launched by the Nilüfer Police Station, it was announced that while the exact cause of the accident is being researched, autopsy procedures will be performed for the prosecutor's examination.
