Tram service returns to normal after 'banner' obstruction
Metro Istanbul announced that a banner had been hung along the line's route and stated that services were halted because the banner became entangled in the catenary (power) line.
A banner for AKP's Istanbul candidate Murat Kurum resulted in the suspension of services on the T1 Kabataş-Bağcılar Tram line after it was hung over the route. According to a new statement from Metro Istanbul, it was announced that “Our services have returned to normal.”
The statements are as follows:
“Due to a banner that was hung on the Galata Bridge along our T1 Kabataş-Bağcılar Tram Line despite warnings becoming entangled in the catenary (power) line, our services were being operated between the Kabataş-Karaköy and Eminönü-Bağcılar stations.”
“Our services on our T1 Kabataş-Bağcılar Tram Line have returned to normal.”
